Super rare Music House dubplates from the Layer 3 jungle/dnb collection.For
those that have not witnessed them first hand (they were unlacquered
10" acetate discs which were cut a the Legendary Dub Cutting House.)

The
format originally came from the Jamaican Reggae soundsystem scene and
adopted by the jungle/dnb scene designed as special, promotional
exclusives for the latest artist music. They had a lifespan of 30-60
plays usually.

Some however have lasted a lot longer than expected.Top
industry artists and dj's would request a copy when they were cut live
at the Music House sessions, and then used them that day/weekend to drop
at club nights, radio shows, events etc (for promotional and testing
purposes.)

They were promos of promos in effect and only a handful were ever cut (prior to the single actually being released.)This was an institution for the music before the advent of the internet and still going strong today...
